The Crescent School is a minority institution established by the Crescent Education Society, a registered body, on May 15, 1977. Located adjacent to the Zeenat-ul-Masajid, Daryaganj, New Delhi, it is an English medium, co-educational institute from Nursery to Senior Secondary level. The school was started primarily to provide modern education to the Muslim community so as to bring them into the main stream of the Indian society.However admission is open to eligible candidate of all communities. The school was recognized by the Directorate of Education upto Std. VIII in April 1982 and upgraded upto the Secondary level in June 1989. It was further upgraded to the Senior Secondary level in June 1998. It has been granted affiliation by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
