JSS High School (Primary and Higher Primary Schools are also run in the same premises), Konanakunte, was established in 1980-81. At the time of inception, the school was housed in a small building and had only 50 students. The school succeeded graudally in attracting people from far and wide. A spacious and well-equipped building was constructed in 1993. To meet the demands of parents in the neighborhood, Kannada Medium Higher Primary School and English Medium Higher Primary School were started. At present, more than 1,000 students are studying in this school.
