Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar, the first school of the Ashok Hall Group, was set up in 1946 as a Montessori school with only six students. The school boasts of about two thousand students nurtured by a team of dedicated teachers. It is an ISO 9001:2008 and 14001:2004 certified school. The school is co-educational up to class V. The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. The first batch of students appeared for the Class X Board examination in March 1997 and June 2000 witnessed the introduction of the ISC – XII section with Commerce and Humanities Streams. Science Stream was introduced in 2008.
