Dr. M S Ramaiah rose from humble origins to become a highly popular and respected individual recognized for his philanthropy, vision and values. Realizing the importance of quality education in shaping a modern India, he started the Gokula Education Foundation(GEF) in 1962. Ramaiah Vidyaniketan was one of the many institutions created under its aegis, in the year 1994. It was a pioneering effort to ensure that the children of all employees on the Ramaiah campus had an opportunity to learn and better themselves.
