• Our school is one of Mussoorie’s reputed boarding schools and was established in 1966 • In 2017, we partnered with the prestigious Welham Boys’ School in Dehradun, and the same management also runs the school with Chairman, Mr.Darshan Singh at the head. Mussoorie Public School is situated in the heart of the town. Sites adjoining Mussoorie Public School are the famous Rope Way to Gun hill and the General Post Office, which is close to the main entrance of the school. The famous Camel’s Back Road also provides the school with its second entrance, where vehicles can reach right up to the school campus. Principal : Mr. Vishal Singh • The Principal, Mr. Vishal Singh has over 27 years of experience in the education sector. He has been a teacher of Mathematics in the ICSE and IB curriculum for more than a decade in some of the premier institutions of India and Nepal. He has held a leadership position for 8 years in his previous school which was a boarding school of repute in Bangalore. So, he is well versed with the various aspects running a boarding school with efficiency and competence. School-Parent interactions We have 4 PTMs in a year, besides the Director, along with the Principal and Parents Open House interactions to discuss questions and concerns from parents. Teachers • Our teachers are well qualified and have expertise in their subjects. • We try to maintain a low student-teacher ratio so that students are able to get personal attention – we ensure a maximum of 25 students in one section • We also have senior visiting faculty from Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun to interact with and give guidance to the staff, regularly. • Teachers living on the campus interact with the students after school hours also. • Educational support & extra care are provided by teachers after school hours. The four emphases of our school curriculum plan are skill development, the development of traditional values, holistic care and the development of an international perspective.The GNFCS Management very soon plans to set up a Teachers Training College in Mussoorie. The Bal Vidya Mandir affiliated to the Uttarakhand Education Board is a school for the children of our support staff and weaker sections of society. The school was founded by GNFCS Trust in 1992 as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. The school is presently running till class VI. From March 2018 onwards one class will be added each year to Bal Vidya Mandir till it becomes a High School.
