The school rapidly developed a strong ethos, focused on education of the whole child and with an emphasis on personalised learning and in 1967 the school moved into Garden Campus current home of our Primary School. Typical of the commitment staff had to the school, teachers were involved in the design of the garden and each year the gardener climbed the palms to harvest the coconuts. As the school developed it developed a strong academic reputation and became an active participant in sports competitions. As we entered the new millennium fewer German families were living in Mumbai so the school took the important step of starting an International Section based on the English curriculum and together the German and International sections forged a new identity based on a synergy of their strengths - all the while remaining true to DSB’s holistic educational tradition.With a growing successful secondary section and starting the IB Diploma, DSB International School needed a new home and in 2014. we moved to beautiful new premises: Aurum House, located at the foot of Malabar Hill. The building’s internal spaces, specially designed to facilitate the modern learning styles that will equip students for the 21st Century creates a fantastic learning environment, and today we can proudly say that DSB International School with its two campuses is the only truly international school in historical, verdant south Mumbai.
